Facebook's New Pages To Watch Section

Have you seen this new section in the admin area of your Facebook Page yet?
Facebook has rolled out yet ANOTHER great new feature for Small to Large Businesses and Communities, and this one is going to be a hit!

This allows you to track (or watch) the progress of other pages and compare it with your own page's insights.

"Search for a Page" and "track the progress for 5 or more Pages you want to watch" reads the pop up that you see when you click on the "Add Pages" link in this new section.

So what does this mean for Facebook Page Admins? Well, for starters you can see how many likes they've gained in a particular week. You can compare your closest or biggest competition's progress to your own, then check to see what it is that they're doing to engage more people.

This will likely also come in quite handy for bragging rights, so keep your eyes peeled! ;)

(Updated) Some Things to Note:

  • This feature is still in testing mode and therefore is not available to every page. I run approximately 35 pages and it's only become available on one so far!
  • If you choose to use this feature, the pages that you're tagging to "watch" will be notified that you're watching them. So if you're trying to be stealthy, this may not be the tool you want to use! (H/T @GlutenfreeAZ)
